This website, jonyelamont.com, is owned and operated by Jonye Lamont of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma ("Jonye," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, sign up for emails or text messages, or place an order, and how we use and protect it.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you request the free 7-day sample, contact Jonye, or place an order, we collect what you type into the form: typically your name, email address, and, if you provide it, your phone number, mailing address, and message.
- Order information. When you buy a book, our payment processor collects your payment details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage information. Like most websites, our hosting and email tools record basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and whether an email was opened or a link was clicked.
How we use it
- To send you what you asked for: the 7-day sample emails, a reply to your message, or your book order.
- To send occasional notes from Jonye about new writing, books, or events. You can stop these at any time (see "Your choices" below).
- To fulfill and ship orders, send receipts, and answer questions about a purchase.
- To keep the site and our email list working properly and to understand what readers find helpful.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Text messages
We only send text messages to people who opt in by submitting the sign-up form on jonyelamont.com/sms/ with their mobile number and checking the consent box. We do not add numbers from purchases, email sign-ups, or any other source. If you opt in, we may send you a short daily devotional, replies to your messages, and occasional notes about Jonye's books. Message frequency varies, up to about one message per day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Who helps us
We use trusted service providers to run the site and send messages, and they only process your information on our behalf:
- LeadConnector (HighLevel) stores our contact list and sends our emails and text messages.
- Stripe processes payments for book orders.
- DigitalOcean hosts this website.
- Crafton Press, Jonye's publisher, helps manage this site and her reader communications.
We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect the safety and rights of Jonye or others.
Cookies
This site itself does not set tracking cookies. The embedded sign-up and contact forms, and links in our emails, may use cookies or similar technology from our email provider to remember that you have signed up and to measure whether messages are opened. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Your choices
- Email: every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you are off the list.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message.
- Your data: you can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Keeping it safe
Your information is stored with providers that use industry-standard security, and access is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted in an email to our list.
